WHAT IS GOOGLE PLACES?

Google Places allows business owners to create local listings, that often appear ABOVE other listings when a person does a search for a local business. This can be a tremendous advantage, particularly if a large portion of your customers are local.

 

 

Placing well in Google Places is already important and will only become more important as Google and other engines race to improve their local search capability. For example, if you Google “bank”, “mortgage”, or “loan” you will see Google’s local business results towards the top of the page. To rank well on Google’s local business results it’s imperative to claim all of your online listings and make it clear to the search engines that your site should be trusted.
